I didn’t want to attend college after high school so my father helped me get a job with a customer of the bank who built houses for a living. Years later, my father admitted to telling the contractor to “make it tough on the boy” and with pleasure he did. I worked very hard and by the end of the summer I was considered one of the best employees and was asked to stay on permanently. I informed Chief that college wasn’t in the cards for me. Well, we did it again.
We have been named one of the Best Places to Work in Kentucky for the fourth year in a row. Of course that brings the public awareness and press coverage which in turn brings in the best bankers in the state as they find out how happy our employees truly are at Independence Bank.
