Five years ago, the Human Resources Department at the Bank approached me with a request to enter the Best Places to Work competition for the State of Kentucky. At first, I was a little reluctant with the uncertainty that we could even make the list out of the 17,000 business across the Bluegrass State and worried that it might also produce more problems than answers and solutions, as many questionnaires tend to do.

You may ask what makes Independence Bank Revolutionary... One thing that makes us Revolutionary is the way we go to battle. Once our cause has been established, we go at it with brute force and in a way that no one else would. In late September, we decided that our cause was to fight cancer and the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life would be our beneficiary.
